" If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. We need not wait to see what others do. "
- Mahatma Gandhi

100% of earnings go to a good cause.

That's right. We believe strongly in social and racial equality, orgnizations that provide opportunities to those that have less priviledge, and helping causes that feel near and dear to our hearts. So we are periodically providing a day's worth of treatments in exchange for your donations to some wonderful local, national and global causes that are making important strides in our world. Treat yourself, and make a difference - pretty neat, huh?

Family Tree Clinic’s local mission is to cultivate a healthy community through comprehensive sexual health care and education. A major initiative is to provide affordable health care services to the much under-served LGBTQ community through their We Are Family Fund. This community is recognized as a national health concern due to growing research which shows a wide disparity in the availability and accessibility of high-quality health care services geared towards the LGBTQ community, which due to high rates of stress, harassment and discrimination, and low insurance coverage, is at a higher risk for cancer, mental illness, substance abuse, poverty and homelessness.

The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) is a national organization founded in 1909 who’s mission is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all people and to eliminate race-based discrimination. Now in the 21st century, along with necessary environmental and climate justice, and media diversity, its six Game Changers initiatives include economic sustainability, education, health, public safety and criminal justice, voting rights and political representation, and expanding youth and young adult engagement.

What's in a treatment?

To qualify for the treatment you must make a minimum donation of $50 to one of the above causes. You can always do more if that's in your heart and your budget. In exchange for your proof of donation you'll receive a professional and personalized acupuncture treatment. The 45-minute visit will include brief consultation time, 20 - 30 minutes with accupuncture needles, relaxing music / meditations, or even Tui Na (Chinese massage) if you'd like. So who are the practitioners donating their time you ask?
